To accommodate students/ teachers/researchers/scientists/science practitioners working on the different aspects of science based natural phenomenon, this organization has been founded. It is registered with Government of West Bengal. The motto of this foundation is to promote and advance the cause of multidisciplinary research by providing a common platform for hands on training program/ internships/ project works (lab and field based) / NEP based modules for UG and PG students for all the subjects (science/arts/commerce). It will facilitate better cooperation and coordination to fulfil the need of the present-day course curriculum and extent the cause of societal outreach program. The need of forming this society was felt long before as it was crucial to bring students/ scientists/ social workers/ science entrepreneur/ teachers/ researchers/scientific content writers of different field in a single platform to showcase the impact of scientific discoveries to the mankind. ‘Natural Science’ is an overarching phenomenon which encompasses majorly in two branches: life science and physical science. ‘Life science’ grazes over the entire biological phenomenon of our existence where as ‘physical science’ covers multiple branches of scientific study namely physics, chemistry, earth science, atmospheric science, oceanography, planetary science and material science. Natural sciences use tools from the formal sciences like mathematics and converting information about nature into measurements (bio-physics, mechano-biology etc.) that can be explained scientifically as the ‘laws of nature’.
Natural Sciences Foundation (NFS) was founded with the following aims and objectives:

1. To facilitate and progress the cause of multidisciplinary research through common platform for societal benefit.
2. To support, educate, motivate and train the students and young researchers through
different kind of training programs (hands on training program/ internships/ project works (lab and field based) / NEP based modules)
3. To organize symposia, workshops, conferences and special lectures in different disciplines of natural science
4. To publish handouts, newsletters, Journals, proceeding and other reading materials for the promotion of science education & research activities.
